Barkhaus: An Eatery-Meets-Dog Park in Alexandria

Why can’t more restaurants and bars be like barkhaus? This newly opened spot is a cross between a pub and a dog park, and the result is a fun place that both you and your four-legged best friend can go to together. Not only does barkhaus include an indoor/outdoor area for you pup to play, run and jump, but the food and drinks are surprisingly great for a place that doubles as a dog park. Enjoy locally sourced beer and wine courtesy of Laughing Pig, along with elevated pub fare that’s as good as any established eatery. Grab a plate of Korean chicken wings, parmesan truffle fries, or yam chips with guacamole to snack on with a hoppy IPA, or enjoy a larger entrée of house made sourdough flat bread or a local grass-fed cheeseburger. Plus, barkhaus has weekly specials like yappy hour and taco Tuesday for deals on their most popular fare. All of that, and your dog can get some much-needed exercise? Paw-some!
