Virtue Feed & Grain: American Cuisine With a Side of History
August 25th, 2020
The building where Virtue Feed & Grain is located has been around since the 1800s, when it served as a feed house, and today Virtue Feed & Grain pays homage to that history with its old-timey name. There’s nothing historic about the menu, however, which is full of fresh new-American fare. Consider starting your meal with a plate of semolina fried calamari served with artichoke hearts, or a crock of baked crab dip with tortilla chips. Popular main dishes include pan-seared salmon with harissa and baby arugula, as well as shrimp and grits drizzled with low country gravy.
The restaurant is continuing its take-out and curbside pickup services (see the website for details and to place your order), and has also recently reopened outdoor patio dining. Indoor dining may be available soon, too, but be sure that you call ahead for a reservation, as seating will be very limited.
